Course DescriptionHonors Art 3 is designed for students to create advanced artwork using a variety of Art making processes. Students are expected to create well planned and well executed projects. Traditional art making techniques will be built upon and new techniques will be explored.
Requirements
Grading
Students will receive a separate grade for each of the following:
3 grades per project
Finished Projects- Work is finished, photographed, and uploaded to student website.
Project Progression/Documentation- Project is photographed in every step of the process to show the thought process and evolution of the finished project. These photos are uploaded to student website.
Artist Statement- This is a description of the finished piece and should provide some insight into the student's thought processes, successes, and weaknesses with the finished work. Should be 10 or more sentences long.
Finished work, documentation, and artist's statement will be graded from the website
Sketchbooks- Students will have a daily sketch assignment that will be graded on Friday.

Timeline
- Students will have ample time to complete all projects in class by due date
work not completed by due date may be taken home, worked on during pride, or worked on before/after school with no penalty
Late work must be finished and turned in by the end of the 9 weeks or a “0” will be put in as the grade.

- Photo document evolution of projects from start to finish (sketches included). The idea is to visually demonstrate the evolution of an idea. 5 pictures minimum.
